HC Deb 23 July 1984 vol 64 c525W
Dr Glyn

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment whether he has had any discussions with Liverpool city council about its loan commitments to individuals; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Patrick Jenkin

This particlar point was not raised in my discussions, though the general issue of the authority's credit worthiness was a matter of concern. Now that Liverpool city council has struck a valid rate, no risk of default on loans arises.
