§ Mr. Dalyellasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science if he will make a statement on the future financial provision for geomagnetic research in the United Kingdom.
§ Mr. BrookeIt will be for the Natural Environment Research Council to determine how much of its grant-in-aid to allocate to this subject. Some research in aspects of this subject is also supported by the Science and Engineering Research Council, where the same situation pertains. No decision has yet been taken about the size of the grant-in-aid to either council after 1984–85.
