§ Mr. BrookeUniversities are self-governing institutions subject to the provisions of their charters or Acts of Parliament. If a complainant remains dissatisfied after the appeal processes within a university have been exhausted, he has recourse to the visitor. This is the advice that the Department has given to such complaints as have been received. Yearly figures for the numbers of such complaints are not available.
