§ Mr. TrippierRegional industrial policy and enterprise zones are distinct policies aimed at different problems but which nevertheless overlap in some areas. Where this is the case, regional industrial policy is able to complement the benefits offered by the zones by using appropriate policy instruments to provide support for the regeneration and modernisation of the industrial economy of the wider areas, which includes the enterprise zones.
