§ Mr. Meacherasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department, pursuant to his announcement of 28 June, Official Report, columns 511–12, of his intention to set up an inter-departmental group on drug abuse, whether this group has now met; and who are the members.
§ Mr. MellorThe group has now been established and will have its first meeting next week. The group will be chaired by me and its members include Ministers and/or officials, as appropriate, from the Home Office, the Department of Health and Social Security, the Department of Education and Science, Scottish Office, Welsh Office, DHSS Northern Ireland and Customs and Excise. Representatives from other Departments will attend as necessary.
