Security officers and security patrolmen are usually responsible to administrative staff. Porters are responsible to portering supervisor grades.
Those security staff in the administrative and clerical group are graded under the common grading structure and are usually known as security officers. The salary scales employed range from £3,510 to £10,277 per annum according to grade. Their reporting chain is determined locally.
