HC Deb 17 July 1984 vol 64 c147W
Mr. Kilroy-Silk

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services how many people in Kirkby are awaiting a home visit from one of his officers; and what is the length of time that they have been waiting.

Dr. Boyson

On 13 July 1984, 101 people in Kirkby were awaiting a home visit from one of my officers. On average, they had been waiting for about two weeks with a maximum wait of four weeks, except in 23 cases where a second or subsequent visit was due because the claimant had not been at home when visited previously.
