Friend and I have in recent months received representations from various quarters on a number of policy issues in the field of adult and continuing education, including the funding of the university extra mural departments and the Workers' Educational Association, the level of grant paid by central Government to certain national adult education associations, and the Open University.
§ 22. Mr. Fatchettasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science what representations he has received about the impact upon adult education provision of the proposed cuts in budget for the Open University, university adult education departments and the Workers' Educational Association.
§ Mr. BrookeOver 600 letters have been received about the Open University, 23 about the university extra mural departments and some 400 about the Workers' Educational Association.
