§ Mr. HurdThe Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis tells me that the first demonstration was on 24 August 1982; that action has been taken to prevent demonstrations immediately outside the embassy since 26 May 1984; and that the action has been taken in pursuance of articles 22 and 29 of the Vienna convention (to which the Diplomatic Privileges Act 1964 gives effect).
