§ Mr. WhitneyFisheries conservation would be one of the most important purposes of an exclusive fisheries limit (EFL) around the Falkland Islands. The establishment of such a zone is a complex matter which remains under active consideration. We must avoid the risks of long-term repercussions which could outweigh the short-term benefits of declaring an EFL.
