§ Mr. RidleyI am deeply concerned to ensure that sensible provision for disabled people continues through the period of transition for local authority responsibilities in London. My Department will therefore be working closely with the boroughs and with the new London branch of the National Advisory Unit for Community Transport to assess the effectiveness and possible future role of the taxicard scheme and of other transport provisions for disabled people.
