§ Mr. WaldegraveLocal authorities in England estimate that the loss of rate revenue arising from the mandatory relief given under the provisions of the Rating (Disabled Persons) Act 1978 will amount to some £56.2 million in 1984–85. Ninety per cent. will be refunded by specific Government grant, leaving a net loss of some £5.6 million.
