HC Deb 09 July 1984 vol 63 c397W
Mr. Skinner

asked the Secretary of State for Employment how many workers earned less than £100 per week in 1983; and what percentage of the total work force they represent.

Mr. Alan Clark

It is estimated that, at the time of the new earnings survey in April 1983, about 4.4 million full-time employees of all ages had gross weekly earnings of less than £100, comprising about 28 per cent. of all full-time employees.
