§ Mr. Gareth Wardellasked the Secretary of State for Transport if he will publish the study financed by his Department and undertaken by the Imperial college of science and technology into pollution from road drainage.
§ Mrs. ChalkerThe results of the study undertaken by the transport and road research laboratory and Imperial college of science and technology into the water quality of motorway run-off was published on 3 April 1984 as TRRL supplementary report 823. A copy of this has been placed in the Library of the House. A further study by the same organisation into the effects of different highway drainage systems on the water quality of run-off has been carried out and the report is expected to be published later this year.
