§ Mr. Wyn RobertsFollowing the Government's response to the Commission on Energy and Environment report "Coal and the Environment", a survey into the pollution problems caused by abandoned mines has been undertaken. The results are now being analysed. The determination of responsibility for dealing with such pollution will have to await the completion of this work.
