§ Mr. LuceOn 5 and 6 July, my right hon. and learned Friend had very useful discussions with the governor of Hong Kong, Sir Edward Youde, and with Her Majesty's ambassador to China, Sir Richard Evans, on the progress of the Sino-British talks on the future of Hong Kong. The substance of our discussions must, of course, remain confidential.
