§ Mr. WaldegraveOnly one study concerning the concentration of arsenic in surface waters has been commissioned by the Department of Environment since 1979. It was part of a wider study dealing with several metals. The final report, containing the main results and conclusions of the study and entitled "Determination of Pollutants in Effluents" (WRC report 550-M, May 1983), was placed in the Library of the House following the hon. Member's question to the House on 16 February 1984.
