§ Mr. Deakinsasked the Prime Minister if the recent European Council agreed that the new principles for controlling Common Market expenditure should be embodied formally and legally in the budgetary procedure.
§ The Prime MinisterThe Fountainebleau European Council endorsed the provisional conclusions arrived at by the European Council on 20 March which stated that the Council of Ministers should adopt the measures necessary to guarantee the effective application of the principles of budget discipline agreed by Heads of Government.
