§ Mr. McQuarrieasked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will increase the amount of money allocated for capital spending on the roads in the Grampian region in 1984–85 in the light of the damage caused by adverse weather conditions in 1983–84; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. AncramNo. The allocation of finance for structural repairs to trunk roads is made following an annual assessment of requirements in each region. Allocation of money for repairs to non-trunk roads is decided by regional councils in the light of their overall capital consents and current expenditure budgets.
