HC Deb 04 July 1984 vol 63 c153W
Mr. Heddle

asked the Secretary of State for Transport if he will make a statement on the steps his Department proposes to take to consult the public generally about the proposed closure of Quarry Hills Lane, Lichfield, Staffordshire.

Mrs. Chalker

On 11May I published notice that I proposed to make an order pedestrianising a length of Quarry Hills Lane. The period for objections ended on 15 June. I have decided that a public inquiry is necessary and this is likely to take place in the autumn. I shall announce details of this well in advance so the public will have every opportunity to attend the inquiry.
