§ Mr. Wigleyasked the Secretary of State for Wales whether any circulars have been issued by his Department to area health authorities and educational authorities in Wales about a domiciliary physiotherapy service, a school physiotherapy service and a community physiotherapy service in each area.
§ Mr. Wyn RobertsThe responsibility for the provision of physiotherapy services in the community in Wales rests with individual district health authorities. A Welsh Office circular drawing attention to a study entitled "Physiotherapy in the Community" was issued to health authorities in June 1978.
§ Mr. Wigleyasked the Secretary of State for Wales if he will undertake throughout Wales a detailed survey of the availability of domiciliary and community-based physiotherapy services, including their availability within health centres, residential homes and schools, so as to establish any weaknesses in provision.
§ Mr. Wyn RobertsNo, but I shall study the results of the inquiry referred to by my hon. Friend the Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Health and Social Security in his written answer to the hon. Gentleman on 13 June, at column515, and consider their implications for Wales.
