§ Mr. HayhoeThe estimated amount of staff effort devoted to the administration and collection of betting and gaming duties at 31March 1984 was the equivalent of 328 full-time staff. I regret that separate figures are not maintained for the assessment and collection of on-course betting duty. Staff engaged on this work are located at excise stations throughout the country wherever on-course betting operators function within station boundaries. They also undertake other work, including the administration and collection of other betting and gaming duties.
