§ Mr. MacGregorThe ports in England and Wales which have been designated as authorised places of entry for the importation of milk, cream and milk-based drink under the Importation of Milk Regulations 1983 (SI. 1983 No. 1563) are as follows:
Avonmouth Liverpool Cardiff London (Tilbury) Dover Newhaven Felixstowe Newport (Gwent) Fleetwood Plymouth Folkestone Poole Gatwick Portsmouth Grimsby Sheerness Harwich Southampton Heysham Tyne (North Shields) In Scotland the ports of Dundee and Glasgow have been similarly designated under the Importation of Milk (Scotland) Regulations 1983 (S. I. 1983 No. 1545 (S. I. 45)).
§ Mr. Weetchasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he will give the relevant statistics for fresh milk and associated milk products imported into each port in Great Britain during the last five years.

Member extracts from Her Majesty's Customs and Excise trade statistics of annual imports of milk and cream through individual ports in the years 1979 to 1983 as these detailed figures are recorded under a number of separate tariff codes which may be of interest. I have also arranged for copies to be placed in the House of Commons Library.
