§ 33. Mr. Fallonasked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry what evidence he has on the development of management buy-outs since the Companies Act 1981came into force.
§ Mr. ButcherCompanies are not required to give the Government information specifically about management buy-outs, and therefore I have no special source of evidence on their development. However, I understand that management and employee buy-outs are increasingly being used to facilitate company rationalisation. I welcome these developments, which will lead to improved performance by strengthening the personal interest of the work force in their companies.
