§ Mr. DunnWe have made it clear that we have no plans to propose changes in the provisions of the Education Act 1944 on religious instruction and collective worship, and that we look to local education authorities and schools102W to ensure that the statutory requirements are met. We shall continue to emphasise the importance we place on religious education. We hope that parents will take an active interest in the way in which religious education is provided, and that they will not hesitate to take up any anxieties they may have with the school and, if necessary, with the local education authority.
