§ 79. Mr. Geoffrey Robinsonasked the Secretary of State for Social Services why he has sought to block publication of September's issue of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development's employment outlook report on the scale of poverty due to long-term unemployment in Great Britain.
§ Dr. BoysonWe have not sought to block publication of this report, one section of which deals with the effects of unemployment in several Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development member States. When it was discussed by officials there were a number of critical comments, some of them from the United Kingdom. As is normal the OECD secretariat is revising its report in the light of those comments.
