§ Mr. Peter MorrisonNo. Although jobcentre staff may encourage employers not to place age restrictions on vacancies, it is ultimately for employers themselves to determine their own requirements, and in general jobcentres will refuse to handle only those vacancies where the terms of employment are unlawful.
