§ Mr. Gareth Wardellasked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry what representations he has received regarding the proposed merger between Lye Tinplate, Pontarddulais, and Afon Tinplate Co. Ltd.; and if he is satisfied that the necessary negotiations are proceeding satisfactorily.
§ Mr. ButcherI have received a petition from some members of the Lye Tinplate work force. Negotiations are a matter for the owners of the two businesses concerned.
