§ Mr. Pawseyasked the Secretary of State for Transport what are the revised and more demanding conditions that will apply to new Ministry of Transport testing stations; and when they will be introduced.
§ Mrs. ChalkerNew conditions of appointment are being considered, covering premises, equipment, security arrangements, tester training and evidence of financial standing and good repute.
The Department will circulate these for public consultation in the usual way. Subject to that, it is hoped to introduce the new conditions by the end of the year.
