HC Deb 02 July 1984 vol 63 cc16-7W
Mr. Bowen Wells

asked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry whether he will use his powers to order the Dee Corporation to divest itself of the 5 per cent. of shares bought in Booker McConnell after he had requested that no further shares were acquired whilst the Monopolies and Mergers Commission decided whether 15 per cent. of the shares already owned by the Dee Corporation constituted too great a control.

Mr. Butcher

No. The Secretary of State has now received satisfactory undertakings from the Dee Corporation.
