HC Deb 02 July 1984 vol 63 c17W
Mr. Dalyell

asked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry whether Her Majesty's Government will now allow the import from Argentina of books principally intended to be sold to scholars and students.

Mr. Channon

I refer the hon. Member to the reply given by my hon. Friend the Under-Secretary of State with responsibility for corporate and consumer affairs to the hon. Member for Stoke-on-Trent, Central (Mr. Fisher) on 21 May at column327. The Government do not restrict the import of books from Argentina by scholars of students unless they are imported for resale.
