Mr. Fisher

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services (1) how many (a) doctors and (b) consultants are employed in the National Health Service in North Staffordshire district health authority;

(2) how many consultants are employed in (a) general medicine, (b) geriatric medicine, (c) urology, (d) anaesthetics, (e) radiology, (f) ophthalmics, (g) obstetrics and gynaeocology, (h) mental illness, (i) child and adolescent psychiatry and (j) forensic science in North Staffordshire district health authority;

(3) how many consultants are employed per 10,000 population in (a) general medicine, (b) geriatric medicine, (c) urology, (d) anaesthetics, (e) radiology, (f) ophthalmics, (g) obstetrics and gynaecology, (h) mental illness, (i) child and adolescent psychiatry, and (j) forensic science in: (i) North Staffordshire district health authority, (ii) the West Midlands regional health authority and (iii) the United Kingdom;

(4) how many (a) doctors and (b) consultants per 10,000 population were employed in the National Health Service in (i) North Staffordshire district health authority, (ii) West Midlands regional health authority and (iii) the United Kingdom.
