Mr. Parry

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services how many persons received hospital treatment following the disturbances at the Messenger premises at Warrington last November.

Mr. John Patten

A total of 49 people involved in the disturbances received hospital treatment. Seven of these were admitted to hospital as inpatients.
