HC Deb 26 January 1984 vol 52 c704W
Mr. Ashdown

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services how many changes of address have been entered on the national insurance contributions system during the last year for (a) persons claiming benefit and (b) other persons.

Dr. Boyson

The total number of notifications of change of address accepted on to the computer for the tax year ending April 1983 was 4,171,800. We are unable to distinguish between those people claiming benefit arid other persons.
