§ Mr. Nicholas Wintertonasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what educational aid has been provided to the people resident within South West Africa-Namibia since 1979; and if he will offer 15 bursaries to students resident in South West Africa-Namibia in the next financial year.
§ Mr. RaisonSuch aid began in 1983. Seven training awards have been made, and two seminars for teacher trainers took place in Namibia. We expect to make about 12 awards in the next financial year, subject to there being suitable candidates.
