§ Mr. Kenneth ClarkeIt is estimated that 21 per cent. of full-time male manual workers and 62 per cent. of full-time female manual workers in the NHS earn less than £100 per week. These figures are based on average earnings for the period April to June 1983 returned by 10 English regions.
