Mr. Younger

The total cost of administration of the Scottish Office expressed in 1982–83 prices in the last four years was:

£ million
1979–80 109.1
1980–81 113.0

This information, which excludes the costs of the state hospital, the Scottish prison service and the royal Scottish museum, is taken from the annual scrutinies of departmental running costs which cover only 1979–80 onwards.
