§ Mr. LeeThe last type 21 frigate for the Royal Navy, HMS Avenger, was accepted into service in 1978. We have no plans to build any further type 21s for the Royal Navy. A very broad estimate of the cost of Avenger, updated to 1982–83 prices, would be about £100 million.
