Mr. Dalyell

asked the Secretary of State for Defence (1) what action he is taking, in the light of the recommendations of the study group on censorship, to train censors;

(2) what action he is taking in the light of the recommendation of the study group on censorship to undertake further work on accreditation of journalists in relation to defence;

(3) what action he is taking in the light of the report of the study group on censorship to give better advice to commanders in chief on the diplomatic and international dimensions of conflict;

(4) what action he is taking in the light of the report of the committee on censorship to review the D notice system:

(5) what action he is taking in the light of the recommendations of the report of the committee on censorship to improve the quality, status and training of information staff in his Department.
