§ Mrs. Rumboldasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will estimate the number of private housing estates that are being developed in the inner London area on sites that were previously either industrial or commercial sites.
§ Sir George YoungMy Department does not maintain the relevant statistics on which such an estimate could be based but it is Government policy to encourage the maximum development of disused or underused sites in inner urban areas.
