§ Mrs. Renée Shortasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what proposals he has to alter the method of payment of firemen; and whether, as some firemen are now paid fortnightly in cash while others are paid fortnightly through their banks, he will ensure that any changes he is proposing will permit those who wish to be paid in cash to continue to be so paid.
§ Mr. MellorMy right hon. and learned Friend has no such proposals. The payment of firemen is a matter for fire authorities.
