§ Mr. GummerThe balloting provisions of the Employment Act 1980 apply only to closed shop agreements which took effect after 14 August 1980. We are not aware of any ballots which have been held in accordance with these provisions, nor is it possible to identify any closed shop agreements which have been introduced since 14 August 1980.
