HL Deb 18 January 1984 vol 446 c1145WA
Baroness Burton of Coventry

asked Her Majesty's Government:

On what date they expect to receive the report from the Advertising Standards Authority concerning the advertising campaign against the electricity supply industry (15th December, col. 342) and whether, in view of the public interest expressed additionally to that in the House, they will take steps to make this report available either in Hansard or in a report to the House.

The Minister of State, Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (Lord Belstead)

Complaints about certain advertisements comparing gas with electric heating have been considered by the Advertising Standards Authority's Code of Advertising Practice Committee. The committee published its conclusions on 21st December 1983, in its case report No. 18, a copy of which has been placed in the Library of the House.
