§ Mr. Buchanan-SmithInformation on the total costs to clients of surveys conducted under the energy survey scheme is not readily available. Grants in 1982–83 totalled £1,308,000. Of this approximately £760,000 was paid for one-day surveys and £540,000 for extended surveys.
