§ Mr. Kenneth Carlisleasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food whether, pursuant to his reply of 18 July, Official Report, c. 37, he will now prepare a framework for the assessment of intangibles in arterial land drainage cost-benefit appraisal in conjunction with the Nature Conservancy Council, the Countryside Commission and other relevant bodies.
§ Mrs. FennerIntangible benefits cannot be quantified in detailed cost benefit assessments; but in the overall assessment of a scheme the environmental effects are carefully considered.
