HC Deb 16 January 1984 vol 52 c6W
Sir Hugh Rossi

asked the Prime Minister whether, in the light of the report on homelessness amongst women, November 1983, by the Women's National Commission she will arrange for the Department of Health and Social Security and the Department of the Environment to undertake a programme of joint action between their two Departments and local authorities on homelessness amongst the mentally ill; and if she will make a statement.

The Prime Minister

The Commission's report was received late last year and raises a number of far-reaching points. The proposals it makes, including those concerning homeless mentally ill people, have substantial implications and are now under detailed consideration by the Department of Health and Social Security and the Department of the Environment.
