Mr. Peter Robinson

asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland how much was spent by the Northern Ireland Housing Executive on maintenance of its properties in each of the last five years.

asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland how much extra revenue the recent rent rise announced in Northern Ireland will produce for the Northern Ireland Housing Executive.

Preliminary estimates indicate that the announced 5 per cent. increase will raise gross rental income by about £7 million in 1984–85.

asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland how much Northern Ireland Housing Executive rents have increased since 1979.

The average rent for the year from November 1979 was £5.68 per week; from December 1983 it is £12.78, an increase of £7.10.

asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland how much has been paid out for (a) improvement grants and (b) repair grants by the Northern Ireland Housing Executive in each of the last three years.
