HC Deb 29 February 1984 vol 55 c177W
41. Mr. Bellingham

asked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry how much money was lent to United Kingdom firms by the European Investment Bank during 1983.

Mr. Norman Lamont

In 1983 the European Investment Bank made £25.4 million available for lending to firms in the United Kingdom. This is the aggregate of sums actually disbursed to firms and of global facilities made available for on-lending which are not yet fully utilized.
