§ Mr. Ian StewartI refer the hon. Member to page 10 ofEconomic Trends where the latest available quarterly estimates of the personal sector saving ratio are to be found, up to the third quarter of 1983. Figures for 1983 as a whole will be published in a press notice to be issued by the Central Statistical Office on 29 March 1984. The estimates suggest an average ratio of about 9 per cent. during the first three quarters of the year.
