HC Deb 28 February 1984 vol 55 c111W
Mr. Cohen

asked the Secretary of State for Defence if he will lift the relevant restrictions under the Official Secrets Acts so that a former soldier, details of whom have been sent to him, can give full evidence to the Kincora inquiry in Northern Ireland.

Mr. Lee

It would be for the person concerned to indicate to the inquiry the nature of the evidence he might be able to give. If the chairman of the inquiry felt this might be relevant to the inquiry consideration could be given to what action might be necessary in relation to the Official Secrets Act.
